I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I’m a little too proud about that. In 2011, I moved to Portland, Oregon to attend Reed College. I thought I would be a math major, but I quickly realized I needed to study Theatre. I wrote a thesis exploring the role of physical theatre in absurdist plays, and directed a production of The Lesson by Eugène Ionesco. I spent a couple of years in Portland training with the PETE, working on shows, and honing my craft. I felt the siren call back to the east coast, and started the Full Time Conservatory at the Atlantic Acting School in 2017. During my time there, I honed my skills as an actor and helped found Bluebird Theatre Company, where I currently serve as Artistic Director. During the pandemic, I performed, wrote, and directed many online performances. I love working as an artist, and I can’t wait for what’s next.

Writing

I have written numerous one act plays, including two that premiered in evenings of virtual one acts that I curated for my theater company. I have recently completed a modern genderbent adaptation of Hamlet. I starred in a staged reading of it in May 2022, directed by Jessica Wu. Learn more about it here, and consider donating to Bluebird to help stage it!

Directing

As a director, I love to explore the strangest possible work and bring to light the deepest human experiences. This year, I directed a filmed production of Trojan Women for Bluebird that we filmed in my backyard. I also directed, wrote, and starred in my first short film, Alien Invasion. It premiered at the New Filmmakers NY Festival, 2021, and won every Audience Choice Award at Emerging: A Virtual Film Festival in February 2022. It will screen at ShockFest this December!

Here’s what I’m working on right now!

I am the Artistic Director of the Bluebird Theatre Company. We are working towards staging my full length play, A Little Less Than Kind!

In November 2022, Bluebird will be staging three new one act plays in Manhattan. More info on that soon!

I have produced two evenings of one acts for Bluebird. In both evenings, I wrote and starred in pieces, and directed them as well. We did one in September 2020, and one in March 2021. Watch the fall ones here! Watch the spring ones here!

I wrote, directed, produced, and starred in my first short film during the pandemic, and it was just accepted to the New Filmmakers NY Festival! Visit our website here.

How about some videos?

This is my acting reel, edited together by the amazing Mila Kaphurkina! Let me know what you think.

I just took Heidi Marshall’s Genre class, and I had fun with this scene from Million Dollar Baby! I got so sweaty.

Also in Heidi Marshall’s class, I did this scene from The Big Sick. I didn’t get as sweaty but I was still sweaty.
